TEST YOURSELF

Your VCT (Voluntary counseling and testing) test will always be done with a trained counselor who will talk to you in private about all the things you might want to know about sex and HIV. They understand parents and friends are sometimes difficult to talk to about sex and don't always have the right answers. VCT counselors have been specially trained to help young adults and keep everything absolutely confidential. It takes 10 minutes to get the results. It's FREE. You can do it anonymously: no ID numbers, no names, and cellphone numbers.

LEARN THE TRUTHS

No matter whether you test negative or positive, you will be able to adjust your thinking. For example: maybe you don't know how to protect yourself from HIV, maybe you don't know how you can get it, maybe you don't really know what safe sex actually is or what your options are if you're HIV+? The counselors will explain all this to you!

MAKE YOUR PLAN

The real test is about making your plan for the future. If you're negative, how YOU can stay negative... coming up with the strategy works for YOU. If you test positive, our very experienced counselors will discuss in detail exactly what your status means, what to do now, what to do tomorrow, and how to cope with your immediate feelings and fears. In short, you'll learn how to take care of yourself and live a healthy long life (which many HIV+ people do).

Levi's® Red for Life / New Start counseling is offered for free for 6 months to anyone who tests positive to help ensure that you get all the help, support and knowledge you need.

It's important to remember that if you are positive and you don't know it, you will be letting the virus grow unchecked in your body and might be infecting someone you like a lot by mistake.
